Playlists that are associated with a hub will be part of the content for any screen locations associated with the hub. A screen location can be associated with zero or any number of hubs, so hubs can be created for specialized groups or for organizing screen locations into regional hubs, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"868\" height=\"389\" src=\"https:\/\/www.locol.media\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/43\/2022\/10\/hubs-menu.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-165\" srcset=\"https:\/\/locol-media-public.s3.amazonaws.com\/playlist-items\/uploads\/sites\/43\/2022\/10\/hubs-menu.png 868w, https:\/\/locol-media-public.s3.amazonaws.com\/playlist-items\/uploads\/sites\/43\/2022\/10\/hubs-menu-300x134.png 300w, https:\/\/locol-media-public.s3.amazonaws.com\/playlist-items\/uploads\/sites\/43\/2022\/10\/hubs-menu-768x344.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 868px) 100vw, 868px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"955\" height=\"401\" src=\"https:\/\/www.locol.media\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/43\/2022\/10\/hub-detail.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-166\" srcset=\"https:\/\/locol-media-public.s3.amazonaws.com\/playlist-items\/uploads\/sites\/43\/2022\/10\/hub-detail.png 955w, https:\/\/locol-media-public.s3.amazonaws.com\/playlist-items\/uploads\/sites\/43\/2022\/10\/hub-detail-300x126.png 300w, https:\/\/locol-media-public.s3.amazonaws.com\/playlist-items\/uploads\/sites\/43\/2022\/10\/hub-detail-768x322.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 955px) 100vw, 955px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Using the Hubs Menu<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol type=\"1\"><li>Select <strong>Hubs <\/strong>from the navigation menu.<\/li><li>The hubs list is sorted by create date and is in descending order.<\/li><li>To sort by <strong>Title <\/strong>or by <strong>Date <\/strong>in ascending or descending order:<ul><li>Mouse over the <strong>Title <\/strong>field, click the upward arrow to sort in ascending order, and click the downward arrow to sort in descending order.<\/li><li>Mouse over the Date field, click the upward arrow to sort in ascending order, and click the downward arrow to sort in descending order.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><br><strong>Creating a New Hub<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol type=\"1\"><li>Click on the <strong>Add New<\/strong> button next to the title <strong>Hubs<\/strong>.<\/li><li>On <strong>Add New Hub<\/strong> page, key in a name in the <strong>Enter Name of Hub<\/strong> field.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><br><strong>Organizing multiple Hubs<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul type=\"1\"><li>Each <strong>Hub <\/strong>can be associated with one or more <strong>Screen Locations<\/strong>.<\/li><li>Each <strong>Hub <\/strong>can be associated with one or more <strong>Playlists<\/strong>.<\/li><li>Each <strong>Screen Location<\/strong> can belong to one or more <strong>Hubs<\/strong>, the slides played at the <strong>Screen Location<\/strong> is the totality of all the slides in all the <strong>Playlists <\/strong>associated with the <strong>Screen Location<\/strong>, and all the slides in all the <strong>Playlists <\/strong>associated with all the <strong>Hubs <\/strong>that the <strong>Screen Location<\/strong> is associated with.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><br><strong>Associated Locations &#8211; Associating\/Disassociating Hubs and Screen Locations<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul type=\"1\"><li>There are two columns in the <strong>Associated Locations<\/strong> display. The left column has all available screen locations that have been created in the <strong>Screen Locations <\/strong>menu. If it is empty, create a new screen location first.<\/li><li>The right column has the <strong>Screen Locations <\/strong>associated with this <strong>Hub<\/strong>. A <strong>Hub <\/strong>can have one or more <strong>screen locations <\/strong>associated with it.<\/li><li>A <strong>screen location <\/strong>can be associated with a hub via the <strong>Screen Locations <\/strong>menu. The association will show in the right column. That association can be updated here. Any updates made also be reflected in the <strong>Screen Locations<\/strong> menu.<\/li><li>To associate a <strong>screen location<\/strong>, do a wildcard search in the <strong>Search <\/strong>field if necessary. Select the desired <strong>screen location <\/strong>on the left column and it will be moved to the right column.<\/li><li>To disassociate the relationship, select the desired <strong>screen location<\/strong> on the right column and click on the minus button next to it.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><br><strong>Associated Playlists &#8211; Associating\/Disassociating Hubs and Playlists<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul type=\"1\"><li>There are three columns in <strong>Associated Playlists.<\/strong> On the <strong>Playlist <\/strong>column, if the dropdown box is empty after clicking on the <strong>Add Row<\/strong> button, create a new playlist in the <strong>Playlists <\/strong>menu first.<\/li><li><strong>Daily Start Time<\/strong> and <strong>Daily Stop Time<\/strong> are read-only fields for information only from the <strong>Playlists <\/strong>menu. <strong>Daily Start Time<\/strong> and <strong>Daily Stop Time<\/strong> can be set in the Playlists menu. <\/li><li><strong>Playlists <\/strong>associated with this hub show up here. These associated playlists are shared by all <strong>screen locations<\/strong> associated with this <strong>hub<\/strong>.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>To associate a <strong>playlist <\/strong>to this <strong>hub, click on the Add Row button:<\/strong><ol><li><strong>On the playlist <\/strong>column, click the down arrow to pull down a list of available <strong>playlists<\/strong>. Click on the desired one to select.<\/li><\/ol><ol><li>To change the <strong>daily start time<\/strong> and <strong>daily stop time<\/strong>, go to the <strong>Playlists <\/strong>menu to update.<\/li><\/ol><\/li><li>To disassociate:<ol><li>There are two buttons on the right side next to a <strong>playlist<\/strong>, the + button and the \u2013 button.<\/li><li>The + button is <strong>Add Row <\/strong>which has the same result as clicking on the <strong>Add Row <\/strong>button.<\/li><li>The \u2013 button is <strong>Remove Row<\/strong> which is to disassociate the playlist from the hub. A confirmation box pops up before removal, select <strong>Remove <\/strong>to disassociate or <strong>Cancel <\/strong>to exit.<\/li><\/ol><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><br><strong>Saving a Hub<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul type=\"1\"><li>A <strong>hub <\/strong>can only be used in production when it is <strong>Published<\/strong>.<\/li><li>To save work before it is ready for production, use <strong>Draft<\/strong> mode.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ol type=\"1\"><li>The <strong>Save Draft <\/strong>button and <strong>Publish <\/strong>button are changed to the Update button for a saved hub. Click the Update button to save your changes.<\/li><li>Click on the Save Draft button to save the hub in draft mode. To change the status from draft to published, simply click on the Publish button. To change the status from draft to pending review, click the Edit link next to it, select Pending Review from the dropdown box and click on the OK button to save, or Cancel to exit.<\/li><li>Click on the Publish button to publish the Hub for use. The published date and time are shown. To change the status from published to pending review or draft, click the Edit link next to it, select <strong>Pending Review<\/strong> or <strong>Draft <\/strong>from the dropdown box and click on the <strong>OK <\/strong>button to save, or Cancel to exit.<\/li><li>Visibility is set as <strong>Public <\/strong>by default. A <strong>Hub <\/strong>needs to be public to be used. Click the <strong>Edit <\/strong>link next to it, select <strong>Password Protected<\/strong> or <strong>Private, <\/strong>and click on the <strong>OK <\/strong>button to save, or <strong>Cancel <\/strong>to exit.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><br><strong>Searching for Hubs<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol type=\"1\"><li>There are several ways to search or filter a hub list<ol><li>Hubs are grouped by <strong>All<\/strong>, <strong>Published<\/strong>, <strong>Draft<\/strong>, <strong>Pending, <\/strong>and <strong>Trash <\/strong>boxes. Each box has a count next to it.<\/li><\/ol><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Wildcard search \u2013 key in some keywords in the field below the profile pic and click on the Search Posts button.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Filtered by create date \u2013 click on the <strong>All Dates<\/strong> dropdown box, select month and year, and click on the <strong>Filter <\/strong>button.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><br><strong>Editing a Hub<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol type=\"1\"><li>Select a hub from the <strong>Hubs <\/strong>list and go to the <strong>Edit Hub<\/strong> page, or<\/li><li>Mouse over a hub from the <strong>Hubs <\/strong>list, the three links below it:<ul><li>Select <strong>Edit <\/strong>link goes to the <strong>Edit Hub<\/strong> page which has the same result as 1. above.<\/li><li>Select<strong> the Quick Edit <\/strong>link to pop up the <strong>Edit <\/strong>box to easily update the name or its status. Click on the <strong>Update <\/strong>button to save or <strong>Cancel <\/strong>to exit.<\/li><li>Select <strong>Trash <\/strong>link moves a hub to the <strong>Trash <\/strong>box. A Hub cannot be used when it has been trashed.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><br><strong>Deleting a Hub<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol type=\"1\"><li>Follow 2.c. above, or<\/li><li>In the <strong>Edit Hub<\/strong> page and in the <strong>Publish <\/strong>box, select the <strong>Move to Trash<\/strong> link.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><br><strong>Permanently Deleting a Hub or Restoring a Hub<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol type=\"1\"><li>A deleted hub can be restored from the <strong>Trash <\/strong>box or deleted permanently from the portal. Select the <strong>Trash l<\/strong>ink from the <strong>Hubs <\/strong>list.<\/li><li>On the trash hub list, mouse over the one and select the <strong>Restore <\/strong>link to move it back to the <strong>All <\/strong>box.<\/li><li>On the trash hub list, mouse over the one or check all by clicking on the checkbox next to Title, select <strong>Delete Permanently<\/strong> link to delete these hubs permanently from the portal; or<\/li><li>On the trash hub list, check all by clicking on the checkbox next to Title, then select <strong>Restore <\/strong>or <strong>Delete Permanently <\/strong>on the Bulk Actions dropdown box and click on the <strong>Apply <\/strong>button. Bulk action does not prompt with a confirmation box or a warning message.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><br><strong>Hubs &#8211; Bulk Edit Functionality<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol type=\"1\"><li>The purpose of the Bulk Edit function is to update multiple hubs in one shot, similar to the status update or move to trash functions.<\/li><li>Search or filter for a group of hubs, or go to any of the <strong>All<\/strong>, <strong>Published<\/strong>, <strong>Draft<\/strong>, <strong>Pending, <\/strong>or Trash boxes by selecting the link on the top.<\/li><li>Check all by clicking on the checkbox next to Title, or click on the checkbox next to a hub individually, or multi-select by holding the Ctrl button on the keyboard and clicking on the checkbox next to a hub.<ol start=\"1\" type=\"a\"><li>To update the status of the list:<ol><li>Click on the <strong>Bulk Actions<\/strong> dropdown box, select Edit and click on the Apply button.<\/li><li>A pull-down shows two columns, the left column is the list for bulk editing and the right column is the status dropdown box.<\/li><li>On the left column, click on the cross next to a hub to take it out from the list before bulk editing.<\/li><li>On the right column, select an action from the <strong>Status<\/strong> dropdown box.<\/li><li>Click on the <strong>Update <\/strong>button to save or <strong>Cancel <\/strong>to exit.<\/li><\/ol><\/li><\/ol><\/li><li>To delete the list:<ol><li>Click on the <strong>Bulk Actions<\/strong> dropdown box, select <strong>Move to Trash,<\/strong> and click on the Apply button.
